Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

Glen Dhu was graced with the presence of royalty as the grade fours celebrated with a medieval feast. There was pomp and pageantry. Jesters entertained while the serfs served a most delightful meal. A good time was had by all.

Alberta Foothills Brass Quintet

Students in Grades 3 to 8 were entertained by the Alberta Foothills Brass Quintet at the beginning of December. They enjoyed an entertaining and informative performance with Chris, Jay, Rosalee, Keith and Ben. A workshop for brass students followed. What a fantastic experience for our kids! Foyer Concerts

The Glen Dhu Foyer concerts have begun. We have so many talented students so we like to highlight some of our musicians in our foyer concert series before school begins. Check the schedule and come and join us.

Meet Glen Dhu's Volunteer of the Year

Volunteer

Sheri is a familiar face around Glen Dhu. For many years she has been volunteering in classrooms, on field trips and fills in whenever and wherever there is a need. She was recently honoured at the Durham District School Board as the Glen Dhu Volunteer of the Year, a well deserved honour! Congratulations, Sheri and thank you for all your assistance at our school!

QSP Magazine Campaign Update

A BIG Gator thank you to all who participated in the QSP magazine campaign. We have sold a total of $10,400 in magazine subscriptions! This will provide Glen Dhu with over $3,500 to spend on the school. You may still order on-line at www.qsp.ca group #9815. That's gator..rific! A very special thank you to L. McLean and M. Allen and all their helpers for running the magazine campaign this year.

Terry Fox Update

Glen Dhu Gators should be proud! This year we raised $5,650.25 for Terry Fox, raising our total since 1994 to an astonishing $113,680.44! This year, staff, students and parents ran for two hours in Terry's name. The day was filled with fun, exercise and a desire to help others. Way to go, Glen Dhu!
